Preventing Water Damage in the Winter

The winter and holiday seasons are upon us, leaving most of us cold and incredibly busy. Inspect your house. Be on the lookout for cracks or holes where cold air can get in. You will want to get these filled up so that the heat will stay inside your home and your pipes.

Don’t turn off heat. When you leave on vacation for the holidays or even just for a weekend, don’t turn off your heat. Keep it at 55 degrees and you will be safe. If you turn the heat off you will be paying more for frozen and burst pipes than you would have for heating your home.
